What’s New in Music 12/11/2007

December 11th, 2007 by Eric Atienza · No Comments

Another week, another Tuesday, another flurry of new music. As new albums drop, this column will do its best to track the notable releases so you don’t have to. Only new material is included in this list; compilations, re-releases, live albums and remixes will generally not be covered.

Rolling right along, December continues with a list of releases that is short but strong.

  • Mario - Go!
  • Usher better get his ass back into the studio. Music is apparently ready to replace him

  • Hi-Tek - Hi-Teknology 3: Underground
  • Hi-Tek was the man behind the turntables back when Mos Def and Talib Kweli were still recording as Blackstar. On this record the acclaimed DJ and producer is mixing behind what he calls some of the best up-and-coming MCs.

  • Wu-Tang Clan - 8 Diagrams
  • The Wu is back with their 5th studio release. Check out prompt’s excellent review of the album for ListenIn.

While less busy than last week, today featured records by some highly acclaimed artists. If only every week were so solid. As you continue your search for the perfect Christmas gift make sure to keep stopping by. You might find something fantastic while reading up on What’s New.
