This weeks They Bring the Music to Us feature is Into The Groove which you can find at poptastic.blogspot.com, and it will certainly leave a pastel colored imprint in your daily blog viewing.

Into The Groove is the ace MP3 blog from the maker of Dirrrty Pop., Dirrrty Pop being a blog about (mostly) Europop. While Dirrrty Pop talks about the tunes, Into The Groove lets you listen to them and lately has been doing so in a unique way. On April 8th, 2008, Jessica, the author of Into The Groove, voiced her opinions on downloading songs illegally and decided that the posted songs on Into The Groove would from then on be posted via a Muxtape

I’ve decided to try something new with this site: instead of giving away music illegally I’m going to put fabulous pop songs on a muxtape page, poptasticuk.muxtape.com, where you can hear them all for as long as it takes for me to have posted 12 new songs and then have to delete the oldest one. This is partly because it’s hard to find a free hosting service which doesn’t lead my readers through a zillion crap adverts, and also because it’s so easy to buy music online these days that it really does seem wrong to be giving it away for free. This way I can still share my exciting discoveries, however obscure they are (the problem with using links to YouTube or similar is that not all songs appear there, while on muxtape I can post what I like), and if you want to download them you should be able to do so elsewhere, either legally or illegally - that choice is down to you.

As far as I know, this is the first mp3 blog to be doing such a thing, and I can tell you, that the current incarnation of poptasticuk.muxtape.com is pure gold, so long as you don’t expect to hear any Nirvana. Into The Groove serves up only the poppiest of Pop music, which admit it, no one doesn’t enjoy.
