This weeks They Bring The Music To Us featured blog is Battle of the Midwestern Housewives, a music blog featuring punk, indie and ska.

Originally, BMH was authored by three friends who called themselves SilverUnity, Aquarian Beauty, and Sasha, though recently posting has only been coming from SilverUnity which means that the Punk and Ska has taken a preference over the indie pop and rock. (The last Aquarian Beauty post was sometime in 2007, and Sasha packed up her computer while she moved to a new home and hasn’t been heard from since)

This means that BMH is now a great place for punk fans to find some real gems both new and old, with SilverUnity often reviewing bands which have been laying around for years on burned CD’s given to her by friends which she just never got around to listening to.

One of the great things about BMH is that often times featured bands are likened to other similar bands in the post title. So the reader can decide if they are going to like the band or album before reading the actual post.

Battle of the Midwestern Housewives is a blog worth checking up on from time for the average music listener, but serious fans of punk and ska may want to give the archives of this blog a good read-through.
