I have to say that even though I do this They Bring The Music To Us series every week, featuring a new blog, very few of
them make a significant impression on me. That isn’t to say that those blogs aren’t awesome in their own right, and even if I don’t think they are I believe that they still deserve to be brought to the attention of one of you who may not have heard of them otherwise. Having said that, today’s TBTMTU featured blog Condemned to Rock ‘N Roll is simply breathtaking.
I was first turned on to this blog by my fellows on the Tumblrsphere, specifically this post in which the author analyzes the Rock Critic’s Music Blogger Symposium. Since that day I find myself returning to Condemned to Rock ‘N Roll again and again just trying to take in the depth of each post. Reading CR’NR, you get a sense of what kind of a person the author is, rather than just how much the author knows about music which is a rare thing in the world of music/mp3 blogging.
I can find no fault with this blog other than that the service YouSendIt is used to host the mp3 files, and file transfer services like that always leave me with a sort of sticky feeling after using them.
CR’NR easily averages the longest posts out of any mp3/music blog I’ve featured before, and if you are a person who appreciates great writing you should do yourself the favor of checking this blog out.
